The surroundings of the Rusovsky penzion offers you the opportunity to relax in a quiet and beautiful park on a nature trail, or you can just let yourself to be led by the forest paths around the pond all the way to the kingdom of the variety of wild animals. The variety of wildlife around our facility is the symbol of clean environment and of the symbiosis of the people with animals. In spring, when the trees and flowers blossom, there is a lot to see. You can also just sit and listen to the songs of the birds. Mushroom pickers, fishermen as well as hunters will feel like in a paradise. Organised as well as individual walks are suitable for parents with children. After you have taken a walk, you can go for ice cream which is considered to be one of the best ice creams in Bratislava.
A photographer, who would like to shoot some good pictures of the nature, will find here a lot of details and scenery for taking pictures all day long. There are also many freshly-married couples who come to the local park in order to take some photos there, since it is the best place for preserving the best memory of their lives. They say “Yes“ to each other either in a church or at the local town hall and then tasty food and entertainment are waiting for them in our facility.
There are a lot of events throughout the whole year, for example Carnival, the May ball, the Meeting of veterans of the three borders (Slovakia, Hungary, Austria), theatre performances, or museums- the Ancient Gerulata, Days of Rusovce, a competition using the old firefighting technology, the Ball of Rusovce and other.
There are a couple of places around our facility suitable for a walk. For example the Park of Rusovce, around the lakes in the protected reservation of Dunajske luhy. There is also a large meadow in the forest, where you can make a picknick, children can play various ball games and adults can have a rest from their everyday worries.
A natural swimming pool in Rusovce is an oasis for those who who want to swim. The swimming pool is under supervision of the Public Health Office, The lakes of Rusovce, also called “Bagroviska“ are suitable for nudists, which is a normal phenomenon in the modern world. In winter, when the lakes are frozen, it is possible to ice skate on them (on your own responsibility), or to take a walk in a forest covered with snow. Rusovce is well-knowm due to some cultural sights, such as the Mansion of Rusovce, the Museum of Ancient Gerulata, but also due to folklore, which is represented by the SĽUK – Slovak Folk and Artistic Collective.
For sport lovers, there are various sport activities around our facility, for example bicycle and in-line skating trails. A bicycle trail runs all the way to Gabcikovo via Cunovo on the Danube dam. The water sports arena in Cunovo- organizing of the world championships in water slalom. Horse riding, swimming, fitness, solarium, beauty salon, aerobic. You can also play billiard, bowling, squash, and also go fishing.
You will probably be tired in the evening after a walk, or a day spent by doing various activities. However, you will definitely be able to go and see a performance of the folklore group Gerulata or SLUK. You can also sit on a pleasant terrace with a grill in our facility.In case you want to go out at night and experience Bratislava`s nightlife, you can take a bus or a taxi to the centre of Bratislava (20-30 min) and you will definitely find what you have been looking for.
